Thread Lift

Many of our Danville patients in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s are tempted by the beautiful results that can be created by facelift surgery. But this approach isn’t always right for everyone. Whether it’s a matter of cost, time, or physical limitations, some patients choose to research less invasive options for looking younger. The straightforward, outpatient nature of a thread lift makes it a popular choice for those who want to refresh their lower faces without a recovery or even an incision.

Learn more about how a thread lift can revitalize the most stubborn signs of aging. Request a consultation online, or call Essential Aesthetics at (925) 855-1773.

Who It’s For

Thread lift is best suited to patients who are bothered by signs of aging in the lower portion of the face. These include the following:

  • Jowls
  • Sagging, lax, or poorly defined jawline
  • Drooping cheeks that appear deflated or gaunt

How It Works

Our thread lift uses small, polydioxanone threads to lift tissues and create a “selective inflammatory response.” Polydioxanone is used in other medical applications and is extremely well-tolerated by the body. Once they’re implanted in the face, the threads stimulate the tissue around them to regenerate, creating a significantly lifted appearance. The threads dissolve over time and leave behind fresh, supple tissue that maintains results.

What to Expect

Thread lift is administered by our certified physician assistant Elham “Ellie” Zarnegar. Ellie uses a very fine needle to deftly inject the threads just below your skin — no scalpel or anesthesia required. Thread lifts are often called “lunchtime lifts” because they can be completed within a lunch hour and don’t require any recovery.

Over time, your results steadily develop and continue to improve as your skin reacts to the thread. You can count on your results to last for more than a year with proper aftercare.
